Aligned with the new direction the company was planning to head towards, I was asked to optimize the Android mobile app to ensure a better user experience and higher efficiency as well as to refresh the brand identity for the targeted premium audience.

PAGE ARCHITECTURE

The starting point of the project was refreshing the page structure by placing the UI elements to their standard positions based on their functionality as well as adding the missing pages where was needed to complete the main user flow.

Changes made:

  • input fields raised out from the background
  • indication of the 2 steps login process added
  • premium branding was applied
  • account details were moved into a left side menu
  • current account display and changing account action merged into a one step setting

MATERIAL.IO STANDARDS AND VISUAL STRATEGY

To ensure consistency and keep the UI elements standardized, I had the measurements, shades, iconography and typography get aligned with the material.io suggestions. Being a productivity tool, a slightly modified version of the main brand was compiled for the Android app to ensure a distraction-free interface for the users.
